My many reasons to be thankful

Its been a while! I should come around more often. Actually, this title is stolen (most of it) but its the best I can think of now. I want to share something very important about a personal experience. It's my friend, we had big plans together for the holidays, then came the problem; he had to go for a heart surgery which of course laid all our plans to waste (thank God it was succesful). One thing that really struck me on my visit to the hospital was not my friend, but his new friend; the guy whose bed was next to his, Andy. This is his story; he had a good life, the job, car etcetra etcetra. Then something happened in 2009, he was attacked by some gays in his house who tried to rape him without any success. Because of his resistance, they poured acid down his throat. It burned his lips, tongue, and gullet. He almost cant remember what food tastes like and the worst part is that he cant even swallow saliva. He has been on a liquid diet ever since and he feeds through a tube in his a stomach area. He narrated something to me which is why I'm writing this. He said he used to be a complainer always lamenting about his state like the world hated him. Something changed him. One day, he went to another ward to check on someone and as he entered, he saw a man who had a kind of tumour hanging from below down to his knee area. Andy stood there glued and when the man saw him, he called him over and gave him some money. He thought Andy was a beggar! The point here is, even in that pathetic state, the man still deemed it fit to be charitable! Andy never complained since then. The truth is, we all have something to be thankful for even air because people actually pay for oxygen! Finally, dont be sad, you are in a better state than someone so just...SMILE and be THANKFUL

Que sera, sera

Its been a while
Like he said, "I guess I had to go to that place, so I can be in this place.
Now we are going to do something,
Close your eyes and imagine yourself in like...10 years from now.
Seriously... Lets just say you did it. Now imagine yourself at around age 60.
You might see yourself with kids around, wrinkled skin etcetra etcetra...
Now one bitter fact is that when ever I try to imagine myself at 60,
You know what I see? Nothing!
At first, I thought it was weird,
But then I started to think about it.
Later on I understood why; it was my state of mind.
We all say we want to do this and that,
But have we ever asked ourselves this questions?
How sure are we that we will live to achieve those things?
How sure are we that even if the time comes, we will have that life we desire?
Everybody wants to be that 'billionaire' thats why that 'song' was a hit.
Another question is this;
If everybody becomes rich, who will do the dirty jobs?
Who will sweep the roads, clean the drainages, do the plumbing?
If you have never thought of this, then get yourself a quiet place and think.
So I thought about it and arrived at my conclusion; what will be mine, will be mine... eventually.
Think...
